Child Protection Week is observed annually during the last week of May and into the first week of June. JISS partners with relevant networking partners and stakeholders in hosting and presenting Child Abuse Awareness programmes at local schools, clinics and communities. The awareness presentation is tailored to the audience. Puppet shows are presented at creches and junior primary schools. Workshops are held for teachers, health professionals and community members. Radio talk shows and articles in the local papers are other means of getting the message to large audiences. JISS’ reach through this programme extends to thousands of beneficiaries annually.
