This programme is in its third year. We are continually appealing to the community to open their hearts and homes and become temporary safe care parents, foster parents or holiday host parents to children in need of care.

This programme focuses on the recruitment, screening and training of Temporary Safe Care parents, Foster parents and host parents to ensure that these parents are available for the placement of children in need of care, especially for emergency removals. This will resolve the problem of Social workers seeking placements for children and the waste of resources in this process. Furthermore, trained alternative care options ensure stability and reduce the risk of placements breaking down.
